The impact of dams on the environment, and in particular on fish life, has been discussed at several Congresses of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) and in different Bulletins published by this Organisation. The present Bulletin aims to provide more detailed information on the impact on fish life and to draw up a summary of the knowledge and experience of dam construction companies and operators.
